Glen Hawkins

Glen Hawkins was born and raised in Bountiful Utah. After graduation from Woods Cross High School, he worked as a full time illustrator for Image West Advertising.  He then received a full tuition fine arts scholarship to Weber State University. Hawkins has since studied with an eclectic group, including Utah artist Larry Wade, nationally renowned portrait artist Daniel Greene of New York, Denver artist Ron Hicks, Matt Smith of Arizona, and Carolyn Anderson of Montana.

Hawkins has been a requested artist for several local charities including The Utah Symphony, Red Butte Gardens, The Utah Rape Recovery Center, and Community Nursing Services. He was honored as the CNS “Artist of the Year” for 2003.

Named as one of four figurative artists in “Start Your Collection” by Southwest Art magazine, Hawkins was awarded both first place in “Festival Quick Draw” and first place “Festival Choice” in the Ogden Arts Festival 2010 Plein Air Paint out. His artwork was use as advertising and limited edition prints for the 2011 Ogden Arts Festival. In 2012 he received an Honorable Mention and purchase award for Davis County
